Brings a lifetime of medical expertise and experience to this undertaking: To improve the health provision and care to Thai nationals who live and work in remote areas of Thailand. With over 45 years of experience as a doctor, Doc Martyn has worked in several different countries, including England, Jamaica, Australia and now Thailand. Throughout his career he specialised in pain management and general medicine. He is knowledgeable. He is an empath. He is a dedicated medic. He has a unique skill set. His facility is apparent in the stories he has written, called Medical Bytes Thailand, during the seven years he has been living in Thailand and caring for Farangs and Thai nationals.
His Background Includes
His medical qualifications include BM, BS, BMedSci (Hons), FRACGP, namely: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medical Science (with Honors), Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
In addition to these medical qualifications, his training in pain management has equipped him with additional skills in the pharmacological management of pain, steroid injections to the spine and painful trigger points. He is proficient in medical spinal manipulation and traditional Chinese Acupuncture. He also holds a diploma in Hypnosis, a 2 years course available to qualified medics, dentists and psychologists only.
